lighting was important to discuss and understand as well. I didn't know that there were so many layers of lighting equipment. We were introduced to the Arri kit and the diva lights. The concept that Dr. Raimist instilled in me is to find the gift of the story. I have the understanding to be creative you have to know what you want to convey to the audience. I've learned over the course of the semester that storytelling or being able to tell a story through the techniques I've learned in this class. It is hard work. It's easy to mess up, but with this career, you have to reinvent yourself with every project, learn as you go, and do more things. What I like most about the collaborative side of the class is the way we worked in groups. I learned so much from my group. And although we had some hiccups, it was a very significant experience to learn by.
My goal in the future is to work more with the camera. My dream is to move to Atlanta, Georgia and work on a set of films as a camera operator or even later down the line, a Cinematographer.
